Jaden Lander

Indianapolis, IN – Oct 10, 2022

The 2022 GT4 season has ended, and although it wasn’t the final weekend Jaden Lander and the Krugspeed team hoped for, it was still a season to remember.

In qualification, Lander and teammate Anthony Geraci qualified their #72 Toyota GR Supra in 6th and 7th position. Lander’s qualifying lap was hampered by traffic on the track, preventing him from putting together a full fast lap.

Anthony Geraci started race one and handed the car over to Lander while in 4th. Lander gained a further two positions putting the team into second with the pace to challenge for the win before an accident saw a car collide with the front right wheel, causing the tire rod to break. Unfortunately, this accident forced the Krugspeed team to retire the car.

Lander started the second race of the weekend and, after avoiding a crash on the first turn, made up over 16 places going from 26th overall to 10th. Still on the opening lap, while going into turn seven, a Porsche well behind Lander missed their breaking zone and slammed into the rear of the #72. Lander recovered and got back on track after a violent spin but now sat dead last. While Lander was working his way back up the field, he was again forced off the track at turn seven, but this time a tire rod broke on the car, forcing an early retirement.

Although this final weekend wasn’t what Lander hoped for, it was still a fantastic season which saw Lander win his first race in GT4 and be involved in a battle for the championship. Be sure to check back here to find out Jaden Lander’s plans heading into the 2023 season!

“Overall, it was a tough weekend on the team. We came in hoping to fight for third in the championship but left with zero points. It was an awful ending to a great season. I want to thank everyone who had this year possible, and I am very excited and cannot wait for 2023 to start!”
