Jaden Lander GT4

Jaden Lander, teammate Robb Holland and the Rotek Racing team put together a stellar weekend that saw them win the GT4 America AM Class Championship in the year’s final race.

The team started the weekend with only a single day of practice. Despite the limited practice time, the team was able to dial in the car by the end of the session. In qualifying, both drivers showed their speed for the weekend with a double pole position finish, putting them in a prime spot to battle for the championship trophy.

Robb Holland started the first race and had great pace throughout his stint. He passed the car over to Lander with a significant gap to the second place car. Lander took over driving duties and brought the car home in first place. The win moved the duo into the championship lead by seven points heading into the year’s final race.

Lander started the second race of the weekend and final of the GT4 year. The hotter weather conditions during race two affected the No. 99 Rotek Racing Porsche 718 more than their rivals BMW. Despite the disadvantage, Lander was able to pass the car over to Holland sitting in P2. The team sat in third position with 25 minutes remaining and needed a second-place finish to claim the championship. On the final turn of the final lap, Holland was able to get ahead of the No. 98 car as it was losing power to finish in second and claim Rotek Racing the championship.

It was a spectacular end to the race that capped off a sensational year full of dramatics for Lander, Holland and the Rotek Team.

“What a crazy end to a crazy year! The ups and downs all year long truly did not end until the very last lap of the season. So happy we brought home this championship for everyone involved. Big thank you to Hella, FCP Euro, Porsche, Rotek Racing, Saratoga Spring Water, Super Cuts and my family! We will be back next year for more!”
